According to Reuters, applications for Green Valley home mortgages rose 2 percent in mid-September. Applications are at their peak level since last April. This rise was caused by two main factors.

A decline in interest rates by the Federal Reserve is the primarily reason. With a lower interest rate, more homeowners are urged to refinance. The second element is the excess of homes on the market. Prices are driven down with a surplus of homes.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) created new remodel guidelines, which could impact older Green Valley homes . The EPA requires lead training, certification, and safe work practive specifications for builders taking part in such activities when remodeling houses built prior to 1978. Their objective is to clear the public health uneasiness of lead poisoning by the year 2010.

Lead was used for so many years in paint and is a particularly abrasive metal. It can cause a variety of health problems and kids younger than six are more at risk because their nervous systems are not yet entirely developed. Contact Green Valley real estate with any concerns with regards to lead in your home.
